Winter rye

06/01/2019

Winter rye – is the crop that is being grown by human for obtaining grain for food and feed objectives. Grain of rye is used for make some varieties of bread (Ukrainian bread contains 20-80% of rye flour), beer, whiskey, vodka, and other products, and also solid grain is consumed in food, cooked in the porridge form. Its food value is determined by significant content of protein in the grains (12,8%) and carbohydrates (69,1%). Winter rye is also valuable food crop. In stockbreeding in the form of concentrated feed rye bran and meal flour is used, which consists 11-12% of proteins and well digested by animals. Winter rye is sowed for green fodder, which is used to secure the demand of cattle in early spring. The rye is often grown for hay. Rye straw is used as rough fodder in the form of steamed rice, and also for preparing baskets and paper.

Consumption rate of working solution is 200-300 l/ha.

It is advisable to combine feeding with the introduction of crop protection and urea (if necessary).

If necessary, it is recommended to use «ROSTOK» Copper, «ROSTOK» Zinc and «ROSTOK» Manganese.

The content of nutrients in fertilizers «UAROSTOK»® and doses of entering are designed according to the needs of plants in the components during a period of growth and development.

The use of fertilizers «UAROSTOK»® promotes:

  • improving the vitality of seeds;
  • stimulating plant growth and development;
  • strengthening plant resistance to disease;
  • increasing of productive tillering;
  • increasing of grain quality (protein and gluten content, nature and others.)
  • formation of seeds with higher planting properties;
  • increasing the harvesting of crop by 10-15%.

Microfertilizers «UAROSTOK»® is non-toxic to humans and bees do not cause allergies and environmentally safe.

Rye has especially good reaction for bringing in microelements on the soils with low content of it. Boron fertilizers for winter rye are brought in on on sod-podzolic, sod-gley, peat and gray forest soils. Zinc fertilizers are used on sod-carbonate soils, black earth, sod-podzolic soils and on the soils with high content of phosphorus and well limed. The using of microelements increases the amount of wonter rye, increasing the quality of grain, increases the resistance of plants for adverse conditions (drought, low temperature, defeating by deceases etc.).
