Winter barley

Winter barley has many positive features: it gives a new crop grains 10-14 days earlier than winter wheat, spring barley and other crops, and its harvesting is 1.0-1.5 t / ha higher than of spring barley (7-8 t/ha and more). Barley contains 12% of protein, 75% of carbohydrates, 2.1% of fat. 1 kg of grains contained 1.2 k.o. and 100 g of digestible protein. It is used for feed and for producing cereals. However, the synthetic varieties of barley don’t satisfy enough the demand of food industry by grain quality. The value of barley is also that it gives a big amount of harvest in the regions with cold, wet climate, where corn or soybeans aren’t grown because of the low temperatures.  Barley is well while wintering and provides big amount of harvest, also in the condition of Western Ukraine. The plant has quite good reaction for foliar feeding by macro and micro fertilizers.

Recommendations for conducting of foliar feeding of winter barley by «ROSTOK» complex fertilizers

Consumption rate of working solution is 200-300 l/ha.

It is advisable to combine feeding with the introduction of crop protection and urea (if necessary).

If necessary, it is recommended to use «ROSTOK» Cooper, «ROSTOK» Zinc and «ROSTOK» Manganese.
