Coriander

06/01/2019

Coriander (cilantro) – is one of the most spread and favorite annual aromatic and medicinal plant of Apiaceae family. As the food the leaves are used in fresh, dry or salted form and seeds. Coriander is used to flavor bread, biscuits, sausage, fish and vegetable preservation. Coriander leaves have a strong aroma and sharp taste, so it is used as a spice. They contain ascorbic acid, carotene, rutin, vitamins B1 and B2, C; pectin, tannins, sugars, starch and others. Seeds are also used for the production of ether (0.7-1.5%) and fatty oils (17-24% by weight of seed) used in the hospital, perfume, soap and textile industry, and oilcake - for fodder. In folk medicine coriander is used as an antiseptic and cholagogue, colds, to enhance the appetite, improve sleep and reduce blood pressure.

Coriander is especially sensitive to the security of plant by nitrogen, phosphorus and microelements. Lack of nutrients in coriander plants appears visually: lower leaves are pale green, greenish-yellow, thin stems, woody and fibrous, delayed flowering and fruit set. Unbalanced nitrogen nutrition and coriander growing on soils poor of micronutrients (molybdenum, iron, copper, manganese, boron, and sulfur) leads to increasing the nitrate content in green products.

2

Increasing the amount of harvest and improving the quality of green products, reducing the content of nitrates in fruits by recovering them to ammonia and stimulating accumulation of vitamin C.

* This feeding is conducted in phase of budding for plants, that are being grown for seed purposes, and on the crops, where the main product – is green leaves, gathering of green products before budding phase is made and after each cut with the purpose of faster regrowth of green mass is conducted, using «ROSTOK» Macro of 2-3 l/ha.

Consumption rate of working solution 200-300 l/ha.

It is advisable to combine feeding with the introduction of crop protection and urea (if necessary).

For demand, it is recommended to use «ROSTOK» Molybdenum and «ROSTOK» Manganese.

The content of nutrients in fertilizers «UAROSTOK»® and doses of entering are designed according to the needs of plants in the components during a period of growth and development.

The use of fertilizers «UAROSTOK»® promotes:
